Lighting and Temperature Requirements During Flowering

Cartier April 3, 2023

Lighting Requirements: During the flowering stage, cannabis plants require a light cycle of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. It’s important to use a high-quality flowering spectrum light during this stage to promote the development of buds and trichomes.

Temperature Requirements: During the day, the ideal temperature range is between 68-78°F (20-26°C). During the night, the temperature should be slightly cooler, around 60-70°F (15-21°C). Fluctuations in temperature should be avoided, as this can stress the plants and impact bud development.

Humidity Requirements: During the flowering stage, the ideal humidity range is between 40-50%. High humidity levels can increase the risk of mold and mildew, while low humidity levels can cause the plants to dry out.

CO2 Requirements: Carbon dioxide (CO2) is essential for plant growth and development. During the flowering stage, cannabis plants benefit from increased CO2 levels. Adding a CO2 generator can help optimize plant growth and yield.

Air Circulation Requirements: Adequate air circulation is crucial during the flowering stage to prevent mold and mildew and provide fresh air for the plants. Use exhaust fans, air filters, and oscillating fans to maintain proper air circulation.

Nutrient Requirements: During the flowering stage, cannabis plants require different nutrients than during the vegetative stage. A high-quality bloom fertilizer with a balanced NPK ratio is ideal for flowering plants.

Watering Requirements: Cannabis plants require consistent watering during the flowering stage, with a focus on maintaining proper moisture levels in the growing medium. Overwatering or underwatering can impact bud development.

pH Requirements: Monitoring and maintaining the pH level of the growing medium is crucial during the flowering stage. The ideal pH range for cannabis plants during flowering is between 6.0-6.5.

Light Intensity Requirements: During the flowering stage, cannabis plants require high light intensity to promote bud development. It’s important to ensure that the plants are receiving enough light and that the light source is positioned correctly.

By providing the right lighting, temperature, humidity, CO2, air circulation, nutrients, watering, pH, and light intensity conditions during the flowering stage, you can maximize the yield and potency of your cannabis plants. It’s important to monitor and adjust the growing environment as needed to ensure that the plants are thriving and producing healthy buds.
