Germination Challenge Starting January 1st, 2024

Welcome to our germination challenge! To ensure a fair and exciting competition, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Example of a challenger submitting their first photo before germination.
  1. Simultaneous Start: Every participant must begin the germination process on January 1st, 2024. This synchronized start is crucial for maintaining a level playing field.
  2. Initial Photo Submission: Your first task is to submit a photograph showing all your bags and the seed pack labeled ‘VIBES#3’. This will confirm your participation and the starting point of your challenge.
  3. Flexibility in Germination: You have the freedom to choose your germination method. Whether you prefer soaking the seeds for a few days or using another technique, the goal is to transition from germination to a 1-gallon pot by January 8th.
  4. Importance of the Start Date: Starting on any date other than January 1st will disadvantage you. If you start late, your plant may not reach the necessary maturity by the end of the challenge.
  5. Dealing with Late Seed Arrival:
    • You can still participate if your seeds arrive after January 1 but before January 8. However, your final photo submission will be due one day before voting, giving you more time to grow.
    • Unfortunately, you cannot join this challenge if your seeds arrive on January 8th or later. But don’t worry – you’ll receive a free entry for the next challenge.
    • We have no control over USPS and their shipping methods. All seeds will be sent 10 – 14 days before the challenge starts. Most shipping takes 3-5 business days to arrive, so there should be enough time.
  6. Honesty Policy: Starting early is against the rules. If we discover that you began before January 1st, you will be disqualified from all future challenges and removed from our network. Honesty is essential – let’s keep the competition fair for everyone.
